Does Stellaloom need an internet connection?

The star catalogue, astronomical calculations, editor and exports work on your device. Place search and optional weather lookup need an internet connection. You can always enter coordinates and cloud cover manually.

How accurate is the star map?

Stellaloom calculates the sky for the selected date, local time and coordinates using a bundled astronomical catalogue. Check the place, UTC offset and daylight saving setting if the result is not what you expect. Meteor streaks are probability-based illustrations of likely shower activity, not records of individual observed meteors.

How do I remove the Stellaloom tag and QR code?

Turn off Include Stellaloom tag in the Export section. Removing it is free and does not require a purchase.

Which export should I choose?

Use the 300-DPI PNG for ordinary high-quality printing and sharing. Choose the 600-DPI PNG for demanding raster workflows, or the vector PDF for unusually large professional prints. All varieties exports every poster style.

Why can Stellaloom not use my current location?

You can allow location access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Stellaloom. Manual place names and coordinates remain available if you prefer not to grant access.

Why is weather unavailable?

Weather lookup depends on Open-Meteo and may occasionally be unavailable. It is optional: set cloud cover manually and the rest of Stellaloom continues to work.

Use Save to Photos for PNG images, or Share / Save to Files to send PNG or PDF exports through the standard iOS share sheet. Available destinations can include Messages, Mail, WhatsApp, AirDrop, Print and Files.

How do I delete a saved map?

Open Saved maps from the folder button, then swipe a map and choose Delete. Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored data from the device, subject to Apple’s normal backup behaviour.

The app crashed — what should I do?

Force close the app and reopen it. If the problem continues, email the support address above with your device model, iOS version, export choice and the steps needed to reproduce it.
